Prosthetic care built around the individual

From partial-foot restorations to advanced transfemoral and upper-limb systems, we design and fit prostheses around each patient's needs, abilities and goals.

A prosthesis is an artificial extension that replaces a missing body part. Ideally, a prosthesis should be comfortable to wear, easy to put on and remove, lightweight, durable and cosmetically pleasing. It should also function well mechanically and require reasonable maintenance.

Good prosthetic care is personal. Prosthetic use depends not only on technology, but also on motivation, comfort, confidence and the ability of the device to fit naturally into everyday life.

We are experienced in the treatment of all levels of amputation, ranging from partial-foot prostheses to transtibial, transfemoral and hip-disarticulation prostheses, including systems incorporating microprocessor-controlled knees. For upper-limb loss, our services range from digital and passive restorations to body-powered and myoelectric systems.

The fitting process

Our process typically includes evaluation, measurement and impression-taking, test fitting and alignment, final delivery, and ongoing follow-up. The number and timing of visits depends on the complexity of the device and the patient's individual needs.
