Laboratory, Inc., New York’s premiere facility, specializes in
cutting-edge prosthetic and orthotic services. We design and fit
artificial limbs and orthopedic braces for patients of all ages and
functional levels.
Orthopedic Arts has been servicing the New
York and surrounding communities for over 25 years. We are experts in
the treatment of all levels of both lower and upper extremity
amputations. Each prosthesis is meticulously designed to accommodate
the patient’s specific physical and technological

Message from Clinical Director
My staff and I are committed to the highest standards of quality of care
and ethical practices. I assure you that we will carefully listen to
your needs, consider your expectations and meticulously design your
personalized plan of treatment. We always allocate sufficient time

patient, are the biggest asset to Orthopedic Arts and we will do
our best to keep you satisfied with our services and to exceed your

Stephan Manucharian, CP, BOCO is the Clinical Director of Orthopedic Arts Laboratory, Inc. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Linguistics and Education in 1989; he then continued his training in prosthetics at Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, IL and completed it in 1993; he became Certified in prosthetics by American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1995; completed his MSc degree in Rehabilitation Studies at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK in 2009; received his doctoral degree in health sciences from Nova Southeastern University in 2013. Dr. Stephan Manucharian is also Certified in Orthotics by Board for Certification/Accreditaion International, and was a Fellow of American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Dr. Stephan Manucharian is a published author and a reviewer for a number of professional journals.
Directions
We are conveniently located in Brooklyn Heights (close to downtown Brooklyn), on Atlantic Avenue between Henry and Clinton Streets.
By bus: B61 or B63 to Henry Street
By subway: Lines M, N, R, 1, 2, 4, 5 to “Court Street” or “Borough Hall” Stations. Then walk to Atlantic Avenue (about six short blocks) and make a right.
